Fuel tank full. Oil checked. Tyres look good (ok I don’t know what I am looking for in the tyre department). It’s mid summer and we’re going on a road trip… heading south!
Giving the light nights I always feel like I should be as far north as possible at mid summer. Infact I always get a bit twitchy when I am not in Shetland at this time of year. I’ll try and get the thought that as of tomorrow the nights start getting darker out of my head.
Todays destination isn’t that far south. It’s Fife to see some of Emma’s family. And then tomorrow we are off to Glasgow to see Take That. I never ever thought the day would come when I am looking forward to going to a Take That gig, but I am.
So I suppose I should take some comfort in the knowledge that on the day of the summer solstice I am that little bit closer to Stonehenge.
